About the Author
Hisham Matar is a Libyan-British writer. He was born in Tripoli, Libya, in 1970. He left Libya with his family in 1979 and has lived in exile ever since.
Matar's work has been translated into more than 30 languages. He has won numerous awards, including the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction and the Man Booker Prize.
