About the Author

Kim Addonizio is an American poet, essayist, and writing teacher. She is the author of nine books of poetry, including The Philosopher's Club, which was a finalist for the National Book Award. She has also written two books of essays, Ordinary Genius and Here the Story.

Addonizio has taught writing at the University of California, Berkeley, the University of San Francisco, and Mills College. She is currently a professor of creative writing at the Pacific University MFA program.

Addonizio's work has been praised for its honesty, insight, and wit. She is a gifted storyteller who has the ability to connect with readers on a deep level.
