Warren Spahn was an American professional baseball player who pitched in Major League Baseball (MLB) from 1942 to 1965. He was a 12-time All-Star and won the National League (NL) Triple Crown in 1957. Spahn was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1973.

Early life and career

Spahn was born in Buffalo, New York, on April 23, 1921. He began playing baseball at a young age and was a standout pitcher in high school.
