History
St. Joseph's College was founded in 1910 by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Edmonton. The college was originally intended to be a residential school for boys, and it opened its doors to students in 1911. The school was operated by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace, and it provided a classical education to its students.
In 1960, St. Joseph's College became a co-educational school. In 1970, the school was transferred to the Edmonton Catholic School District. The school closed in 1982, and the building was sold to the University of Alberta.
