After their marriage, Elizabeth and Albert lived at 145 Piccadilly in London. They also spent time at Royal Lodge in Windsor Great Park. Elizabeth was a popular figure in society and was known for her beauty, her style, and her outgoing personality. She was also a devoted wife and mother.

In 1936, King George V died and Albert became King George VI. Elizabeth became Queen Consort and was known as Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth.

Queen Consort

As Queen Consort, Elizabeth supported her husband in his role as King. She accompanied him on official visits and represented him at various events. She was also a patron of many charities and organizations.

During World War II, Elizabeth and her daughters remained in London despite the bombing. She visited troops and factories and boosted morale. She also worked with the Red Cross and other organizations to help those in need.

Queen Mother

In 1952, King George VI died and Elizabeth's daughter Elizabeth II became Queen. Elizabeth became Queen Mother and continued to support her daughter in her role as monarch.

The Queen Mother was a popular figure in the United Kingdom and around the world. She was known for her sense of humor, her kindness, and her unwavering devotion to the monarchy.

Later Life and Death

In her later years, the Queen Mother lived at Clarence House in London. She remained active in public life and continued to support her daughter and the monarchy.

The Queen Mother died on March 30, 2002, at the age of 101. She was the longest-living member of the British royal family.
