Marilyn was born Norma Jeane Mortenson on June 1, 1926, in Los Angeles, California. Her mother, Gladys Pearl Baker, was a film cutter, and her father, Charles Stanley Gifford, was a salesman. Marilyn's parents divorced when she was young, and she was raised by her mother and a series of foster parents.

Marilyn began her career as a model in the early 1940s. She soon caught the attention of Hollywood producers, and she made her film debut in 1947. Marilyn quickly became one of the most popular actresses in the world, starring in such films as Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (1953),How to Marry a Millionaire (1953),and The Seven Year Itch (1955).

In 1956, Marilyn married playwright Arthur Miller. The couple had one child, a daughter named Caroline Kennedy. Marilyn and Miller divorced in 1961.

In addition to her acting career, Marilyn was also a passionate advocate for social justice. She spoke out against racism and sexism, and she worked to help children in need.

Marilyn died of a drug overdose on August 5, 1962. She was just 36 years old.

Marilyn Monroe was a complex and fascinating woman. She was a sex symbol, a movie star, and a fashion icon. But she was also a mother, a wife, and a teacher. She was a woman of contradictions, but she was also a woman of great passion and compassion.

Marilyn the Mother

Marilyn Monroe was a devoted mother to her daughter, Caroline Kennedy. She loved spending time with Caroline, and she always put her daughter's needs first.

Marilyn was also a very protective mother. She was always worried about Caroline's safety, and she did everything she could to keep her daughter out of the spotlight.

Marilyn's love for Caroline was evident in everything she did. She wrote her daughter letters filled with love and advice. She also made sure that Caroline had everything she needed, both materially and emotionally.

Marilyn the Wife

Marilyn Monroe was married three times. Her first marriage, to James Dougherty, lasted from 1942 to 1946. Her second marriage, to Joe DiMaggio, lasted from 1954 to 1955. Her third marriage, to Arthur Miller, lasted from 1956 to 1961.

Marilyn's marriages were often tumultuous. She was a complex and demanding woman, and she was not always easy to live with.

However, Marilyn was also a loving and devoted wife. She was always there for her husbands, and she always tried to make them happy.

Marilyn the Teacher

Marilyn Monroe was a passionate advocate for education. She believed that everyone, regardless of their background, deserved a chance to learn.

Marilyn worked with a number of organizations to help children in need. She also spoke out about the importance of early childhood education.

Marilyn's legacy as a teacher continues to this day. The Marilyn Monroe Foundation, which she founded in 1962, provides scholarships to disadvantaged students.

Marilyn Monroe was more than just a sex symbol. She was also a mother, a wife, and a teacher. She was a woman of contradictions, but she was also a woman of great passion and compassion. Marilyn's legacy continues to inspire people around the world.
