Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow were two young outlaws who became infamous during the Great Depression era. Their love affair, their crimes, and their tragic end have been the subject of countless books, movies, and songs.

But what is the true story of Bonnie and Clyde? What were their motivations? How did they become outlaws? And how did they meet their end?

Bonnie Parker: The Early Years

Bonnie Parker was born in Rowena, Texas, on October 1, 1910. Her father was a farmer, and her mother was a schoolteacher. Bonnie was a bright and vivacious child, and she loved to sing and dance.

When Bonnie was four years old, her father died of a heart attack. Her mother remarried a few years later, and the family moved to Cement City, Texas. Bonnie did not get along with her stepfather, and she often ran away from home.

At the age of 16, Bonnie dropped out of school and married a young man named Roy Thornton. The marriage was not a happy one, and Bonnie soon left Roy and moved to Dallas.

Clyde Barrow: The Early Years

Clyde Barrow was born in Telico, Texas, on March 24, 1909. His father was a farmer, and his mother was a devout Christian. Clyde was a mischievous and restless child, and he often got into trouble.

When Clyde was 16 years old, he was arrested for stealing a car. He was sentenced to two years in prison, but he was released after serving only a few months.

After his release from prison, Clyde moved to Dallas. He worked as a mechanic and a truck driver, but he soon turned to crime.

Bonnie And Clyde: The Outlaws

Bonnie and Clyde met in January 1930. They were both living in Dallas at the time, and they were both involved in petty crime.

Bonnie was immediately attracted to Clyde's good looks and charisma. Clyde was drawn to Bonnie's intelligence and wit.

Within a few weeks, Bonnie and Clyde were a couple. They began robbing banks and stores together, and they quickly became known as the "Bonnie and Clyde Gang."

The Bonnie and Clyde Gang was responsible for a string of robberies and murders throughout the Midwest. They were pursued by law enforcement agencies from several states, but they always managed to escape.

In May 1934, Bonnie and Clyde were ambushed by police officers in Bienville Parish, Louisiana. They were both killed in the shootout.
