Frank Boucher's life was a storybook tale of triumph over adversity.

After the war, Boucher returned to Canada a hero. He was quickly signed by the Toronto Maple Leafs, and he quickly became one of the most popular players in the NHL.

Boucher was a gifted skater and shooter. He was also a fierce competitor. He led the Maple Leafs to four Stanley Cups, and he was named the NHL's Most Valuable Player in 1927.

In 1932, Boucher was elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame. He was one of the first players inducted into the Hall of Fame, and he remains one of its most recognizable members.

In 1915, at the age of 19, Boucher enlisted in the Canadian Army to fight in World War I. He was assigned to the 48th Highlanders of Canada, and he was sent to France in early 1916.

Boucher saw heavy fighting in the trenches of France. He was wounded twice, but he always returned to the front lines. In 1918, he was awarded the Military Cross for bravery in action.

After the war, Boucher returned to Canada a hero. He was hailed as a national hero, and he was awarded a parade in his hometown of Ottawa.

Hockey Career
