Step 1: Draw the Basic Outline
Start by drawing a circle for the head. This will be the general shape of the skull.
Next, draw a vertical line down the center of the circle. This will be the midline of the face.
Now, draw a horizontal line across the circle, about one-third of the way down from the top. This will be the eye line.
Finally, draw a curved line across the bottom of the circle, about one-third of the way up from the bottom. This will be the mouth line.
Step 2: Add the Eyes
Now that you have the basic outline of the head, you can start adding the features. Let's start with the eyes.
Draw two small circles for the eyes, about one-third of the way in from the sides of the head.
Next, draw two smaller circles inside the eyes for the pupils.
Finally, add some eyelashes to the eyes.
Step 3: Add the Nose
Next, let's add the nose. Draw a small triangle for the nose, with the point of the triangle pointing down.
Next, add two small nostrils to the bottom of the nose.
Step 4: Add the Mouth
Now, let's add the mouth. Draw a curved line for the mouth, with the ends of the line pointing up.
Next, add two small lines for the lips.
Step 5: Add the Hair
Finally, let's add the hair. Draw a few simple lines for the hair, starting at the top of the head and working your way down.
You can add as much or as little hair as you like. Just experiment until you're happy with the results.
Congratulations! You've now learned how to draw faces in just 15 minutes. With a little practice, you'll be able to draw realistic and expressive portraits in no time.
Here are a few tips to help you improve your drawing skills:
- Practice regularly. The more you practice, the better you'll become.
- Use references. Look at photos of faces to help you understand the anatomy and proportions.
- Experiment with different materials. Try using different pencils, pens, and paper to see what works best for you.
- Don't be afraid to make mistakes. Everyone makes mistakes when they're learning to draw. Just keep practicing and you'll eventually get better.
So what are you waiting for? Grab a pencil and start drawing!
